It took him a couple hours to build the coaster configuration that is shown on the front of the box. He had a little trouble with the chain that moves the car to the top of the drop, but he was able to figure out a way to make it work.
The motor was having problems grabbing on to the chain to make it move. Even if you have problems with that, it's still totally usable by just turning the little crank and moving the chain manually to get the car to the top of the drop. We have another K'NEX roller coaster that uses a chain and battery operated motor to move the roller coaster car around, this one uses a rubber band to sling-shot the car up the first rise.
