This is gonna be my second home for sure and will send my folks to this place and the staff are just too good and thanks Moona for all the help and support who was present t the hotel front desk This is a place to keeping visiting and just dont want the days to end.
Moona at the reception took care of us, we felt very welcome from the moment we were received, it felt great to be so welcome , and leaving was so hard. The rooms are beautiful, with amazing view and very clean, it came with international socket so was easy to charge our phones without needing an extension. Food was amazing, breakfast has alot of options , rooms service as well the chilli fish is sooooo good.
Staff at the kitchen were also very nice , and ever willing to assist with any query. We got to use the spa, massage was very good and we felt so rejuvenated after the deep tissue massage. I am definitely coming back, if I am in Nepal. I commend all of them from the managers to the staff for being polite, caring and thoughtful. It is such a great place to chill and enjoy the view. The location is extraordinary. The views are phenomenal and the service plus staff are super friendly.
The rooms were extraordinary - pictures donot do justice. I have to mention specially the front desk staff and the kitchen staff are wonderful. I will definitely stay there again next time i'm in town. I have recommended the place to my family and friends and 4 of my family members have stayed there since our visit.
Also, I wanted my room to be closer to my sister. This was organised after check-in and in such a friendly way. The view was awesome! Need to drive a long way up to the mountain with very bad condition and narrow road. The rooms seems clean but all the three of us with insects bites after slept.
So many little red dots on the arms and very itchy. Good location for watching sunrise. The food! You need an expert chef. Everything else is perfect! Excellent views. Good restaurant, great breakfast, nice bar. Reasonably priced for location and hotel.
All rooms have great views. Spa and yoga and other activities available. Amazing panoramic view from balcony. Good property, food was good though a bit expensive, but wi fi was just too bad, was not working in most of the places Approach road was very very bad. The view around the hotel is excellent. The hotel also gave us an upgrade - a room with the large balcony and swinging chair. Sitting on the chair in the balcony, silently watching the mountains, it was amazing. If anyone books a room here, I highly recommend to stay longer.
Housekeeping was requested to remove dishes from room. They did so but left the dishes outside room door. Would assume no effort to keep public areas neat and was not good to see catering equipment lying on the floor :.
The view from the hotel was great. Rooms were comfortable and with a good layout. The weather, tho not the hotel's fault. Seems that the monsoon returned and saw nothing but clouds and rain. Wonderful breakfast. Very comfortable room. For those looking for souvenirs, I would recommend making the effort to find authentic, hand crafted treasures in Bhaktapur or at the temples in Kathmandu, rather than shopping at the hotel or airport.
Hotel Mystic Mountain is truly a very special place to stay. The staff are welcoming, engaging and just can't do enough for you. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Nargakot, you feel on top of the world as you look out over the lush green valleys below.

Later, when the Elves on their Great Journey to Valinor looked upon their terrible height a portion of the Teleri , later known as the Nandor grew afraid and turned south down the Great River.
Over three-hundred years into the First Age , the tribes of Men crossed the Misty Mountains and began migrating into the Beleriand, first the Edain and then later the Easterlings or Swarthy Men. After the defeat of Morgoth, the surviving orcs and a Balrog came to live there and would remain a problem for over six-thousand years. The Great Eagles also began living here in a place known as the Eagles Eyrie. Slowly, the Misty Mountains became increasingly perilous and dangerous to travelers as Goblins and other creatures came to dwell under there.
The Fellowship of the Ring tried to cross the Redhorn Pass after rejecting the High Pass leading to Rhovanion as being watched by the Enemy, and the Gap of Rohan as taking the Fellowship too close to Isengard , but a blizzard forced it to go under the mountain instead of over it. Gandalf slew the Balrog by casting it down from Zirakzigil , but it had worn his life already, and on that high ground he lay until Gwaihir bore him to Lothlorien.

Misty mountain top | Destination | ECSNEPAL - The Nepali Way
The best things about Sandakhpu, the highest point in Ilam are the journey and the people you meet on the way. Pemba is a young man of about thirty but he hardly looks it. The affable local smiles easily, his eyes more off the road than on it.
His crass jokes make up for the blanket of fog that is our view from our seats. He is an excellent driver though; nothing he comes across on the road seems to bother him. We are in excellent hands we nod to each other as we near our destination. We did not always like Pemba though. Two days ago, in Kalo Pokhari, the last stop before climbing up to Sandakphu, the highest point in Ilam at meters, he had made us wait for two days straight.
Not that we had minded, Kalo Pokhari was scenic and the hosts at Chhewang Lodge were the epitome of Nepali hospitality. The afternoon Pemba gets back we discover that he likes to drink before he drives! We end up hiking to Sandakphu, something that would have been fun had it not been dark already and raining. At the Sherpa Chalet in Sandakphu, we dig into a scrumptious dinner of daal, bhaat and chicken curry before retiring our tired selves to bed.
We are rewarded handsomely for our troubles the next morning; stretching before us into the horizon is an epic panorama of snowcapped mountain peaks. Recuperating from the surreal view and failing to capture its grandeur on my camera, we have some breakfast and head out for a morning stroll. As amazing as the panorama, is the view of the snaking trail up to the place, roads built on ridges with India and Nepal on opposite sides.
Soon a mist rolls up over the hillside, obscuring the views and guiding us behind the chalet, to a quaint little temple and the bubbling point of origin of the rivers that run down to the plains, from over, under and around the hills.
A cheese making initiative down the hill, where locals bring all their milk for collective boiling and processing impresses all, for its sheer ingenuity of reducing individual firewood expenditure. We spend the rest of the morning chatting to a real cowboy. The reason I talk about the driver, the roads and the hike is that Sandakphu and other locations in remote Nepal are as much about the journey as the place itself.
Access by vehicles is a luxury only a thin slice of the population can afford. Eventually the place becomes about the kind of terrain to navigate, the view on the way and about the people who will help you get there.
With Nepal gearing up for Visit Nepal , preparations are going at a rapid pace. An important agenda undertaken In only a few short months, Visit Nepal Year will begin. This much-anticipated tourism push has got a lot The nostalgic view of the person who comes to Nepal is a young, energetic backpacker, who is eager to During the reign of the Rana Prime Ministers who ruled over the country until , the country was closed off Unfortunately I personally have not Preserving Culture and Craft in the Wake of Globalization.
